A delegation of Ecuadorean Jews visited Dr. Jose Vicente Trujillo, Ecuador’s delegate to the United Nations, today to thank him for his recent intervention with the Egyptian UN delegate in behalf of the 12 Egyptian Jews tried in Cairo on charges of “espionage” for Israel.
Dr. Trujillo, who undertook the approach on behalf of all the Latin American delegates without official instructions from his government, told the Jewish delegation that he was happy to intervene in behalf of justice. The delegation included Bela Fisch, Kurt Lenk and Dr. Sigfrido Schwind.
