The West German Social Democratic Party-will shortly introduce measures to speed the payment of restitution to individual victims of Nazism, it was announced here last night.
The Socialists contemplate a measure to clarify ambiguities in the Federal Indemnification Law as to whether certain types of restitution payments shall be made by the Federal or state treasuries. Another aim of the draft measure to be submitted by the Specialists is to make 1960 the target date for completion of the restitution program; instead of 1962 as is contemplated in the indemnification law as it now stands.
