Rome Denies Carrying Anti-jewish Broadcast in Arabic

The Italian radio network broadcast in 32 languages on Friday a denial that it had carried an anti-Jewish broadcast in its Arabic-language services on January 7, Government and network officials, repeating this denial here, declared that Italy’s policy was to maintain good relations with both Israel and the Arab States and to assist in establishing peace in the Middle East.

The Israel Legation here, which had made inquiries about the report, expressed satisfaction today with the attitude of the government and radio officials.

(The report of the anti-Jewish attack was carried by the information department of the World Jewish Congress in London. The said today that the Rome anti-Jewish broadcast was monitored by the British Broadcasting Company.)
