A memorial meeting for Ernst Cassirer, the Jewish philosopher and disciple of Hermann Cohen who taught at Hamburg University from 1919 to 1934 and served as its president in 1929-30, was held in the university auditorium here. He lectured at Yale and in Britain after leaving Hitler Germany.
