More than $762,000 was raised for the 1955 campaign of the United Jewish Appeal at the concluding session here last night of a two-day Southwest Regional Conference of the UJA. More than 400 leaders of 56 Jewish communities in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana attended.

Capt, Joshua L. Goldberg, Chief Chaplain of the Third Naval District, was the featured speaker. He reviewed the international assistance program supported by UJA funds in some two dozen countries. Capt. Goldberg stressed the need for speedy integration of North African immigrants to Israel, noting that upwards $30,000,000 will be needed for the expected transportation and integration of 30,000 North African Jews in Israel.
