President Irving M. Engel of the American Jewish Committee and Dr. John Slawson, executive vice-president, met today with Assistant Secretary of State George V. Allen to discuss the North African situation in the light of recent developments with especial reference to the position of Jews there following the fall of the Mendes-France government in France.
