A Jewish Community Council has been organized in this city to further the welfare of the Jewish community by the establishment, through a recognized representative body, of goodwill and cordial relations within and without the community. Affiliated groups include the YMHA temple and synagogue groups, Hadassah, Daughters of Israel, Zionist Organization of America, youth groups and the Federation of Jewish Charities.
