French Cruiser Arrives in Haifa As Guest of Israel Navy

The French training cruiser “Joan of Are” has arrived in Haifa for a four-day visit as a guest of the Israel Navy. A large portion of the ship’s 560 crewmen and 300 naval cadets were granted leave for visits through-out the country.

The ship’s commander, F. de Nasier, emphasized the friendship between the two nations symbolized by this visit. The Israel Navy will tender a special reception in honor of the ship’s officers.
