The 20th anniversary of “The Reconstructionist,” magazine of the Jewish Reconstruction movement, was marked here today at an affair honoring Dr. Mordecai Kaplan, founder of the movement and chairman of the magazine’s editorial board, Dr. Ir# Eisenstein, associate chairman of the board, and Dr. Eugen Kohn, managing editor. The three men were presented with scrolls at a “brunch” attended by some 400 persons.

Accepting the scroll, Dr. Kaplan restated the philosophy of the Reconstructionist movement, which “view Judaism as a dynamic religious civilization and strives to keep Judaism on the march.” To accomplish that purpose, he said. “it aims to foster the spiritual unity which Jews can derive from their great tradition of spiritual achievement and unparalleled martyrdom and from the common objective of reclaiming the motherland of Judaism.”
