A warning that the “penetration” of Israel by Reform Judaism would undermine the nation’s unity and make a split inevitable, was sounded here last night at a Poale Agudah conference. It was decided that Poale Agudah leaders would discuss the question of Reform Judaism with leaders of the government.

The conference also decided to call on all religious parties to form a new united religious front. As a first step in the process, the Orthodox Laborites decided to try to unite the Agudah and two parts of the Poale Agudah movement in one election list. If this move fails, the conference decided, a separate list would be offered in this summer’s elections.
