1000 Youths Reported Graduated from U.S. Hechalutz Farm

One thousand young men and women have been graduated from Hechalutz Farm Shom### here which trains Jewish youth for kibbutz participation in Israel according to figures announced here today at the celebration of the farm’s 25th anniversary.

Graduates of the farm are now at work in eight kibbutzim in Israel the first of ### is Ein Hashofet named after the later Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis There are now 30 trainees at the farm ranging in age from 18 to 22.

Gideon Saguy newly arrived Israel vice-consul in New York officially represented the Israel Government at the celebration Mr. Saguy expressed great pleasure at hading out about the “excellent and vital” work being done as the farm here. “The work you young people are doing here “he said “is a very encouraging manifestation that augurs well for the future of Israel.”
