Neo-Nazi Group Fails to Win Any Seat in Rhineland Elections

An openly neo-Nazi party which was formed for the state-wide elections in the Rhineland-Palatinate failed to win any seats in yesterday’s balloting but the only Jew to run Maxim Kuraner of Neustad### Social Democrat was elected to the legislature it was announced today.

The neo-Nazi group "the Free Vot ###### "did ### three percent of the total vote which was more than had been gained in the state elections of 1951 and 1953 by similar parties. Among the candidates of the group were a former chief of the Nazi peasants group in the Hesse Nassau district Johann Weintz and H. Stolleis, Nazi Mayor of Ludwigshaven.
