Two Israelis Killed in New Outbreak Along Gaza Strip Border

Two Israel soldiers were killed in a new outbreak of automatic and mortar fire along the Gaza strip border, a military spokesman revealed here today. At the time of the announcement here late this afternoon, Egyptian fire was still preventing evacuation of six others who were wounded.

The incident occurred just before noon today when the Egyptians opened up on the Israel settlement of Ein Hashlosha, opposite the border, Later, the firing spread to the Nirim area, south of Ein Hashlosha, and Israel artillery went into action, the military spokesman said.

The Gaza border was the scene of an exchange of artillery fire Saturday which was set off by Egyptian firing upon as Israel patrol Also, during the week-end, an Israel soldier was wounded when the vehicle in which he was patrolling the border hit a landmine.

At Mevoot Beitar, in the Jerusalem Corridor, a Jewish watchman was wounded today by a gang of infiltrators from Jordan.
