Mayor of Genoa Apologizes to Jews for Desecration of Synagoue

The Mayor of Genoa has sent an official apology to the Jewish community of this city, expressing indignation at the desecration of a memorial tablet on the wall of the city’s synagogue. The Mayor has also informed the community that the municipal administration will meet the cost of restoring the memorial to its original state.
