A split within the General Zionist Organization of Mexico deepened here with the announcement that another section of the centrist movement was joining the newly-organized Progressive Party.
The announcement, made in the form of a statement published in the Yiddish press, was by the General Zionist youth group Hanoar Hazioni, which walked out en masse to join the new group. Earlier, also in press statements, more than 100 members of the General Zionist Organization had announced their withdrawal and affiliation with the Progressive movement.
