The Kehillah of Buenos Aires has voted to abolish the office of “Av Beth Din”–chairman of the highest religious court–by a vote of 15 to 6. The position, created three years ago, had been held by Rabbi Dr. Amram Blum. Rabbi Blum will remain a member of the court.
