Assistant Secretary of State George V. Allen, appearing on a television program, said today that the Czech-Egyptian arms deal involved weapons worth between $75 million and $100 million. Asked which side the United States favored in the current Israel-Egyptian situation, he said the U.S. would be anti-preventive war and for any state that kept the peace.
