Secretary of State Dulles today appointed Bernard Katzen to be special consultant on the use of local currencies acquired by the United States in Israel. Some $3,000,000 have accumulated in the U.S. account in Israel through the sale of American publications there under the existing information guaranty program Mr. Katzen, a New York attorney, was previously associated with the Republican National Committee He plans to visit Israel in February.
