The French Poujadist movement has found sympathizers in this country “but there is no reason to imagine that these supporters are inspired by the alleged anti-Semitism of its founders,” it was reported here today by the Defense Committee of the Board of Deputies of British Jews.

The report, submitted to the Board’s monthly meeting, went on to note, however, that in view of the fact that interest has also been shown in it by certain organizations and individuals, vigilance is necessary.” In a general survey of the current situation in Britain, the committee emphasized the “importance of continual observation and the necessity for proper support from the community for the defense organization.”
