77 Jews Put on Trial in Egypt; Charged with Securing False Passports

Seventy-seven Jews were charged in criminal court in Cairo today with passport forgery. They were accused of using falsified documents in an attempt to escape from Egypt. Egyptian police said the forgeries were discovered when the Jews presented certificates to authorities.
