United Hias Registers Jews in Tunis for Emigration to Canada

The United Hias Service, which recently opened a temporary office here to register Jews who wish to migrate to Canada, reported today that large number have already registered. The immigration service set up its temporary office at the local headquarters of the Joint Distribution Committee.

Meanwhile, the Jewish Agency office here continues to accept applications from Tunisian Jews who wish to immigrate to Israel. It reports a large backlog of applications.
