Joseph M. Proskauer, former Associate Justice of the New York State Supreme Court and one-time president of the American Jewish Committee, received today an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws at the 124th annual commencement of New York University.
In Providence, Judge Jonah J. Goldstein of the Court of General Sessions in New York, received an honorary Doctorate of Laws at the 38th commencement of Providence College. The school is operated by the Dominican Fathers.
