A party of 19 immigrants from Soviet bloc countries arrived here today. The party includes three people from Soviet Bukovina and the remainder from Hungary and Rumania.
One of the immigrants, 41 year-old Pessia Weinrich, a school teacher from Czernowitz, the capital of Bukovina, reported having been able to listen to broadcasts by Kol Israel, the Israel national radio, beamed at Eastern Europe. She also said that the situation in the country improved greatly after Stalin’s death. The other Czernowitz inhabitants were Eddo Natsovitz, a 43-year-old violinist, and his wife.
