Brandeis University Awards 205 Degrees; 6,000 Attend Exercises

Brandeis University awarded 193 academic degrees, 12 advance degrees and seven honorary degrees at its fifth annual commencement exercises here yesterday. More than 6,000 persons attended the exercises.

The recipients of honorary degrees were: Dean Acheson, former Secretary of State; Judge Calvert Magruder of the U.S. Court of Appeals; Justice Felix Frankfurter of the U.S. Supreme Court; Judge Charles E. Wyzanski, Jr., of the Boston Federal District Court; Dean Erwin Griswold of Harvard Law School; Robert Szold. chairman of the board of the Palestine Economic Corporation, and Irving Dilliard, editor of the editorial page of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
