The Supreme Court of the Netherlands rejected today appeals of three major figures in the Anneke Beekman case against prison sentences meted out to them for their parts in spiriting away the Jewish war orphan and refusing to return her to the Jewish community as ordered by Dutch courts.
The Supreme Court’s action upholds a three-month sentence for Mrs. G.M. Langendyk-van Moorst, Anneke’s Catholic foster mother; a six-month sentence against Miss E. M. van Moorst, her sister, and a two-month sentence on a priest named Amon. The two women have fled the country and their whereabouts are unknown.
