Foreign Minister Golda Myerson summoned United Nations truce chief Maj. Gen. E.L.M. Burns to the Foreign Ministry today to hear Israel’s views of the latest series of Jordanian armistice agreement violations. Two Israelis were murdered and two others wounded yesterday in three incidents along widely separated parts of the Jordan border.
Mrs. Myerson cited 99 Jordanian violations since April 26 when UN Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold obtained Jordanian commitment for a cease-fire. Six Israelis were killed and seven wounded in these attacks, Mrs. Myerson underscored. She asked whether Jordan still considers itself bound by its pledge to Mr. Hammarskjold, and reminded Gen. Burns that on June 10 he had transmitted to the Israel Government another pledge by Jordan–to prevent further border incidents.
