The House passed and sent to the Senate last night a bill to designate Mikveh Israel Cemetery in Philadelphia as a unit of the National Park System. The bill authorizes no funds for maintenance or care of the cemetery. The cemetery, established in 1740, contains the graves of a number of revolutionary patriots of the Jewish faith.
