Five Syrians Executed in Damascus for Alleged “spying” for Israel

Firing squads in Damascus today executed five Syrians convicted of “spying for Israel”. A government spokesman announced the executions. He said a military tribunal imposed the death sentence after finding the five guilty of “spying for the enemy.” President Shukri Kuwatly confirmed the sentences.
