Delivery of Bristol Brittania turbo-prop aircraft to Israel’s El Al International Airlines will be delayed by three to six months, due to technical difficulties which are yet to be solved in connection with the new propeller turbine engines, it was reported here today.

The first of El Al’s order for the Brittania planes was to have been delivered to the Israel firm by next April. However, it became known today that the British Overseas Airways Corporation, which had assigned crews to training in flying the Brittania, has transferred these crews to piston-engined aircraft because of the technical difficulties yet to be solved on the new planes. This fact pointed up the delay facing delivery to Israel.
