American Millinery Union Establishes Vocational School in Tel Aviv

The Lucy Oppenheim Vocational School in Tel Aviv was dedicated last night in ceremonies at Jewish National House here. The school, named for the late vice-president of the United Hat, Cap and Millinery Workers Union, will offer a three-year course in needle craft for 55 Israeli young women at a time.

The school is being built with funds raised by the Millinery Workers Joint Board: Pioneer Women, the Women’s Labor Zionist Organization of America; and the Lucy Oppenheim Memorial Committee, comprised of officers and members of the Millinery Workers Union and personal friends and associates.
