The Honor Plague of the City of Frankfurt has been awarded to Max Meyer, in recognition of his role as the principal figure in the rebuilding of the Jewish community here after the collapse of Nazism. Mr. Meyer, a 72-year-old native of nearby Limburg, has lived in Frankfurt for more than half a century. For a number of postwar years he served as president of the Jewish community and now is the senior member of its three-man executive board.
