In the absence of the Israel delegation which is boycotting the Israel-Jordan Mixed Armistice Commission, the MAC today condemned Israel for the retaliatory raid on the Jordan police post and army positions at Husan.
The MAC charged that the attack was “unprovoked and premeditated.” The raid came after the killing of four and the wounding of 15 Israelis at an archaeological outing at Ramath Rachel by an “insane” Jordan soldier. The MAC took the “most serious view” of the incident in view of the open admission by Israeli authorities of the action.
