LAKEWOOD, N. J. (Oct. 18)
The 30th national convention of the Labor Zionist Organization of America opened here today with leading personalities from Israel in attendance.
The convention will seek to redefine the Labor Zionist ideology in terms of present-day needs and interests arising out of the changed conditions of life in the United States, especially since the establishment of Israel. The restatement of principles of Labor Zionism has been under discussion by the organization during the past two years.
The convention will be addressed by Dr. Dov Joseph, former member of the Israel Cabinet, Berl Locker, member of the Knesset and former co-chairman of the Jewish Agency executive, and Zev Argaman, Minister Counselor of the Israel Embassy in Washington, Itzhak Harcavi of Tel Aviv, Secretary General of Ichud Olami, the World Union of Labor Zionist Organizations; Eliahu Dobkin of Jerusalem, and Louis Segal of New York, members of the executive of the Jewish Agency.
