The executive committee of the American Association of English-Jewish Newspapers, in session here, adopted an urgent plea to President Eisenhower and the State Department, requesting action by the United States Government to protect the Jews of Egypt against expropriation of their possessions and at expulsion from their homes.

The AAEJN appealed to the President and the State Department to act for speedy peace efforts and to effect direct Arab-Israel negotiations in the Middle-East. It urged action through the United Nations. Similar appeals were sent to the United Nations and to the American delegation at the United Nation.
