Israelis Halt Work in Sympathy Demonstration for Hungarians

Workers throughout Israel stopped work for 15 minutes today in a demonstration of sympathy for the workers of Hungary who are on a 48-hour strike in protest against the Janos Kadar government of Hungary.

All public and private transportation halted on the roads of Israel for two minutes today, also in sympathy with the Hungarian people. Both actions were supported by the Histadrut.
