The Ministry of Posts and Communications announced today the opening of telephone land lines to the city of Gaza and the extension of telephone service to that city. The service will be extended soon to Khan Yunis and Raffa in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier it had been announced that mail service had been restored to Gaza. The Bank Leumi has already opened a branch there.
