Egyptian Foreign Minister Mahmoud Fawzi indicated today that Egypt has no intention of allowing Israel ships to pass through a reopened Suez Canal. Addressing the National Press Club, Mr. Fawzi said the Israel shipping issue was not a legitimate part of the Suez Canal controversy but “part and parcel of the whole Palestinian question.” He defended the use of fedayeen murder gangs against Israel and called on Israel to “restore the rights” of Palestine Arabs.
