Murray Snyder Named by Eisenhower As Assistant Secretary of Defense

President Eisenhower today announced the appointment of Murray Snyder, assistant White House press spokesman, to be Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs. Mr. Snyder, Brooklyn-born Jew, served as a political reporter on the Brooklyn Eagle before joining the White House staff in 1953.
