The funeral of Joel Mastbaum, 75, noted Yiddish novelist and newspaper writer who died here Friday, was held today. Mr. Masthaum, who was born in Poland, arrived in Israel in 1933. On the 23rd of this month Mr. Mastbaum was scheduled to receive an award from the Israel section of the World Jewish Congress for his contributions to Jewish culture.
