The Home Office has agreed to work out technical details of the admission to Britain of relatives of Polish Jews now living in this country. The relatives, who have applied for admission to Britain to rejoin their families, are still in Poland.
A plea in behalf of reuniting these families was made by the Polish Jewish Refugee Fund, an affiliate of the Federation of Jewish Relief Organizations.
(From Montreal it was reported today that Saul Hayes, executive director of the Canadian Jewish Congress, met in Ottawa with top officials of the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, including the Deputy Minister, to finalize procedures for the admission to the Dominion of Jews in Poland who have relatives in Canada. Both the Congress and the Jewish Immigrant Aid Society will be involved in the project, it was announced.)
