Soviet Ambassador Alexander Abramov today discussed Moscow’s sending of submarines to Egypt with Israel’s Foreign Minister Golda Meir. It was assumed that the discussion took place at Mrs. Meir’s request. No details of the talks were disclosed.

The British Embassy here today denied reports that the British Government was engaged in talks with Egypt on resumption of diplomatic relations. The Embassy said it was “equally untrue” that Britain had any intention to pay reparations to Egypt for the Suez intervention last November.
