A gunman identified as the killer of Dr. Marcos Satanovsky, eminent jurist and Jewish leader slain here six weeks ago in his office, was held today by police who sprang a carefully-laid trap for him at a local election. The suspect, whose name was not revealed, was identified by a member of the victim’s staff from police photographs as one of the three men who came to Dr. Satanovsky’s office and as the one who did the shooting.

It was disclosed that police did not know where the suspect lived but did knew he would vote in local elections. Two police in private dress were stationed in the local polling place and seized the suspect when he arrived to cast his ballot. Police said a large sum of money was found on the suspect, who has already twice been convicted in homicide cases. Search continued for his two accomplices.
