Ten local and national organizations joined the St. Louis Council of the American Jewish Congress last night in honoring Dr. Israel Goldstein, president of the AJC, on the beginning of his 40th year in the rabbinate. The Council presented Dr. Goldstein with a $2,000 check to be used toward the construction of a “St. Louis Room in the AJC Louise Waterman Wise Youth Center in Jerusalem.”
