Jewish Composer Wins Belgian Government Prize for Music

A young Polish Jewish composer was the winner of the 1957 Queen Elizabeth competition for musical competition. The prize, presented by the Belgian Government in honor of the Queen Mother, consists of a silver medal and 100,000 francs. It was won by Michael Spisak.
