Industrial production in Israel increased 15 percent during 1957 to a total of 1,450,000,000 pounds, Minister of Commerce Pinchas Saphir announced yesterday. He told a meeting of the economic committee of the Cabinet that in the past two years the Israel Government had invested another 80,000,000 pounds in industrial enterprises.
