Anti-Jewish discrimination in employment, education, housing and public accommodations has substantially decreased in this country, according to a report presented today at the five-day annual meeting of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith. The meeting, which opened today, is being attended by 400 Jewish leaders from all parts of the country.

President Eisenhower, in a message to the meeting, lauded the activities of the Anti Defamation League. “Your good work over the 44 years,” the President said, “has brought strength to the national community by educating our citizens to overcome the evils of prejudice. By advancing the concept of equality for all, and by nurturing the roots of freedom, you have helped to make our land a better place to live in.”

Delegates at the meeting will also receive a report on the newest developments in efforts to include more religion in public schools, and a policy statement by the ADL revising its earlier stand.
