Samuel Rosen, director of the surgery department at Mi Sinai Hospital, New York, received an outstanding honor today from Bologna University one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in the Western world. The New York surgeon was awarded the university’s gold medal and 1,000,000 lire during ceremonies inaugurating the university’s 879th academic year.
