Israel Ambassador Abba Eban met today for a discussion of economic problems with C. Douglas Dillon, U.S. Deputy Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs. It is expected that Mr. Eban will meet later this week with Acting Secretary of State Christian A. Herter. Secretary Dulles is leaving on a midwinter vacation.
Last night, Ambassador Eban and Mrs. Eban were guests of President Eisenhower at a White House diplomatic dinner. Arab diplomats representing Jordan, Yemen, and Syria were among the many other guests present.
