Somewhere between 40,000 and 50,000 immigrants are expected to arrive in Israel during the coming fiscal year, which begins in April, it was estimated today at a meeting here of the Jewish Agency executive. The estimates include both those able and willing to leave their present countries of residence or birth and come to Israel.

The Agency executive, however, was warned that the 50,000 figure might not hold if an emergency situation suddenly blew up in any Jewish community or if a country which now restricts the emigration of its Jewish citizens suddenly liberalizes its policies.

A meeting of the full Agency executive, including American members, has been scheduled here for March 12. At that session the final draft budget will be prepared for presentation to the Zionist Actions Committee, policy-making body of the world Zionist movement between sessions.
