The Austrian press yesterday marked the 20th anniversary of the “anschluss, ” the Nazi occupation of Austria which took place in 1938. Among the many scenes of those first days of “anschluss” which the papers published were a number showing Jews being forced to scrub Austrian city streets and undergo other indignities at the hands of German and Austrian Nazis.
